Air & Ground are committed to conducting business in an ethical and socially responsible manner. We are aware of the non-financial effects that a business can have and have introduced new measures to ensure that we invest in and support our team, our marketplace, our community and our environment. These measures are aligned with the values of the company and guide our relationships with clients, customers, suppliers and employees; we are dedicated to conscientious and transparent business integrity.

Marketplace

Enhancing who we do business with, and how we do business with them.

  • Use local suppliers whenever possible
  • Treat our suppliers fairly, particularly smaller businesses that may rely on us, being paid on time can make a big difference
  • Strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers who are as equally committed to CSR 
  • Be open and honest about our products and services
  • Ensure that brochures are written in plain English, telling the truth without hiding anything in the 'small print'
  • If something goes wrong, acknowledge the problem and deal with it at the appropriate level
  • Measure customer satisfaction and retention

Environment

Reducing our environmental impact and improving efficiency in line with our growth and development.

  • Reduce our use of resources
  • Source responsibly (e.g. using recycled materials and sustainable timber)
  • Minimise packaging and use biodegradable packaging made from sustainable sources whenever possible
  • Buy locally to save fuel costs
  • Strive to ensure an efficient (and fuel-efficient) distribution network
  • Work with suppliers and distributors who take steps to minimise their environmental impact where possible

Community

Giving back to those local organisations that actively benefit our local community.

  • Offer continued support to local charities and good causes. (view some of the charities we support here)
  • Encourage and support employees to get involved in fundraising initiatives, community projects and other social contribution activities
  • Identify ways of improving the area and community in which we operate
  • Continue to support Work Experience and Work Placement initiatives through Local Schools and JCP
  • Maintain our strong relationship with local education and Staffordshire University
